Plenty to go around.
There will be plenty of delicious food from La Marsa for everyone to enjoy — plus organic string cheese and pouches for the kids.
Pack a little something?
If your little ones have specific food preferences — or you'd feel more comfortable bringing a lunch or snacks for them — please feel free to do so.
Just let us know.
We also understand and respect food allergies, dietary restrictions and individual preferences. Please let us know ahead of time if there is anything we should be aware of — we would love to be as accommodating as possible.

A nature-inspired craft station for the kids! We'll make bird feeders with almond butter and birdseed, then create hangers to take home for our feathered friends.
Almond butter is used in this activity. Please let Shelley know about any allergies before the gathering.

Michigan in late November can be chilly. Think layers, warm feet and a coat you love. We're gathering indoors and outdoors, so comfort comes first.

Where exactly are we gathering?
At Friendship Park's indoor/outdoor pavilion in Lake Orion, Michigan. Use ‘Find the park’ above to open the map.
What time should we arrive?
Plan to arrive between 10:00 and 10:30 AM on Wednesday, November 25, 2026. Coffee and lunch open at 11:00 AM.
What should we bring?
Warm outdoor layers, boots or sturdy shoes, hats and gloves. Bring spare socks and gloves for children, and extra layers and a blanket for babies and toddlers.
What if the weather is cold or wet?
The pavilion offers both indoor and outdoor spaces, including a cozy outdoor fireplace and a covered gathering area to help keep everyone comfortable. Please dress according to the actual weather forecast as we get closer to November 25, rather than typical seasonal temperatures. We recommend wearing layers so you can comfortably enjoy both spaces. Any weather-related updates or changes to our plans will be shared as the event approaches.
